The New York Auto Show, like the city itself, is an unpredictable beast. At L.A. we see green cars. At Detroit, we get wild, futuristic concepts and bombshell reveals, while Chicago follows up with trucks. But New York? Who the hell knows. One year it'll be Mustang mania and the next, you'll wonder why Ford even set up a booth at all, while Hyundai takes the spotlight with a big pillowy sedan. This year, Pontiac has drawn the lucky card and is taking the wraps off two G8 variants and a hot little Solstice Coupe. Elsewhere on the floor, Scion is showing our biggest city a new generation of its hip, young coupe and Nissan has revived the "Four-Door Sports Car" moniker for the range-topping Maxima. Continuing with the theme of unpredictable, check out Suzuki's surprisingly attractive Kizashi 3 concept and the production version of Hyundai's game-changing Genesis coupe, both joining the party within the diverse halls of the Jacob Javits Center.
