Paris 2008: BMW X1 Concept

So here we have the BMW X1, infused with all the excitement of a full spittoon and finished in a hue resembling bile. The details of the little SAV are still under wraps, but thanks to the magic of the Internet, pictures of it have already, regrettably, surfaced.

What can we tell about it? BMW is still apparently madly in love with creases and detail lines that stand in stark opposition to each other, headlamps that flow inorganically into the bodywork, and the kind of overwrought detailing that has long been the hallmark of Chinese domestic automakers. We also know that it shares its underpinnings with the pug-nosed MINI Crossover Concept. The X1, to its credit, does pull off a remarkable design feat in that it manages to be both fussy and boring at the same time. More unofficial low-res pictures are available in our forums.
